ANyway to set the default thumbnail size to extra large?

Yes I get i can use the wheel, or the icon slider in explorer, i just want it to be default, extra large.

I tried setting the key

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer

dword ThumbnailSize to 256 in decimal

and

dword Thumbnail Size as two different websites gave different answers here.

rebooted. and still windows defaults to small.

My old eyes like the giant icons and thumbnails.

Ultimately, i want ever folder to default to thumbnail view at the largest setting.

and yeah i tried setting a folder the way i wanted it, going to folder options, then view, and selected apply to folder, and it asked if i wanted this view for all folders of this type.. i said yes.. and still doesnt work.

I want it for all folder.. all of them. I want it for the little explorer that pops up when im in a program trying to find a file to open. I want it in the my computer view... i want it in ALL FOLDERS.
