I know the feeling, girlfriend dragged me on an 18km hike (9km up, 9km down) on an icy mountain to see a lake called Morskie Oko. We did the way up in 1.5h, the way down in 2h. Besides the fact that it looked like a scene from Game of Thrones with all the people walking on ice, I've never seen more definition in my calves so it was totally worth it.
