We've lost another fellow long hauler to suicide

Well, I’ll tell ya a story. I completely isolated myself for a year due to autoimmune conditions. I got my mail with gloves. I sterilized and washed my hands constantly. Everything was delivered and left outside to decontaminate a few days. I had been dealing with nightmare near-anaphylactic allergy conditions for months and once finally vaccinated (was wearing an N95 for my first shot), I got to the doctor. I wanted a blood draw to see why I was having these insane allergies but told my rheumatologist I had recently read about this type of symptom resulting from long haul covid. I thought he was going to dismiss the idea. He said, no, it’s possible, tested me and I came up positive. If I got it, literally anyone could. I had no real human contact. But he indicated he wouldn’t treat the allergies any different no matter how the test came back. I’m not sure there is a miracle cure but my allergies are improving and I’m not on fistfuls of antihistamines anymore though I still need something daily. Pepcid, Xyrtec and Singulair helped me, but the majority of my symptoms were allergic. I believe my initial bout of active covid manifested as a painful but localized sinus infection and altered sense of smell (but wasn’t absent). I never got a fever during or after. No initial breathing issues. But then had asthma for months and still do. It’s all improving though.
