In Untold Legends, airborne weapons would all be throwing weapons. There are a variety of them -- throwing knives, throwing axes, darts, javelins, jarids, throwing spears, hurlbats, shurikens, kunai, chakram, etc. The most powerful ones, however, are bombs, which are packed with fragments that would launch in every direction and cause damage, or with a special kind of oil/chemical mixture that will set things ablaze, maybe with tremendous effect like Greek fire.

In Hostile Universe, grenades are a common weapon, either thrown from the hand or launched out of a grenade launcher. They have a variety of effects, most Terrans know of frag grenades, but there are also flash bangs, EMP grenades, and various alien grenades like plasma grenades, photon grenades, heat grenades, crystal grenades, or nail grenades, a more brutal form of the frag grenade with larger and deadlier shrapnel. Technically, every weapon attached to a flying vehicle is also an airborne weapon, so more examples would be chainguns/miniguns or heavy repeaters that would fire a variety of projectiles like lasers, energy, heat or crystals depending on the species using them, as well as missiles that are often frag-style but could have various effects packed into them. Some alien species, as well as certain Terran assassins, use weapons such as throwing knives or javelins which are high-tech and will explode after latching themselves into something to cause heavy damage.
