What are people slowly starting to forget?

Sure. Instead of focusing on racism, which mysteriously effects every race in different ways, we should look at the actual problems they face like the various aspects of poverty. White or Black you're in the same situation with poverty, but for some reason a lot of people want to pretend it's a Black Issue. There's a lack of economic mobility, a lack of family planning, a lack of education, and a lack of substantial community outreach. At that point I don't see any reason you'd have more sympathy for one or the other, yet things like affirmative action treat the symptom (a disproportionate amount of black people are in poverty because history) rather than the causes of Poverty. Now, I don't want to claim to have all the solutions because poverty is obviously quite the beast of problem, but if we're at least concerning our self with the actual problem I think we'll get a lot farther. Indeed there are a lot things we know about poverty now that we didn't know before.

Take family planning for example. Now that we know how big of an indicator it is for future economic mobility we can take steps to address such as requiring there be family planning center in every district (10,000 people or something) that has some minimum funding.

Instead of letting black people in college because there black we've done a lot in recent history help the poor not only get into college but to become economically literate. Ideally we'd do a bit more while they were in highschool. I know my school required a certain level of financial literacy by the time you graduated, and I think programs like that (assuming they actually get enforced) are really good for the long term welfare of our society.
