What are some good, yet easy to pick up habits?

So hydration goes hand in hand with running, It's good to be properly hydrated about 8 hours prior to running, thus before bed I drink a shitton of water, I wake up piss and go for a run

I drink water only so, yay me! I'm doing something alright. I'm not sure if it's enough, but I try to get 3 litres of water a day. What do you think?

Now, I also have a question that might be dumb. Is going to gym necessary to get in a good shape?
