Supporting a very skilled player who said something that I don't agree with is not sexism.

You should've made this more clear. Regardless, supporting the player financially while he says things like this is not ideal. It's like buying item XYZ from a company who hires children in sweatshops for 16 hour days. Sure, you may not directly advocate for that child sweatshop stuff. But you're financially supporting the company, which encourages them to stay the same.

In short, the best way to discourage Gale (or anyone) from saying things like this is to make it hurt his wallet if he does.

Also, what you've said basically says: If someone fucked up, never forgive them or support them again. They are an awful person in my eyes and everyone else should agree with me!

I don't believe Gale "fucked up" though, because that implies he's sorry for what he said, or that he takes it back, or doesn't stand by it. He said it, he meant it, he stands by it still. I believe support for him should be withheld until he takes it back and apologizes. Why? Because that's an effective way of compelling him to change, and discouraging people from doing this in the future.
