What are some truths some parents refuse to accept?

Sometimes negative reinforcement is needed to prevent the child from harming them self. It’s like taking away weed from a teenager as punishment for smoking weed. Sure the weed gives them joy but they simply shouldn’t be smoking it at that age.

If a kid gets bad grades because they are on electronics all too often then the electronics should be taken away or ideally restrictions placed on the amount of usage of them.

Kids should definitely see the results of their actions instead of the parent cutting in the middle every single time but there is a right way to intervene and there is certain things always worth intervening in and not letting happen. A great parent knows what things those are and the right things to do but it takes practice and time to learn that. Ideally having great parents of their own too.
