My last serious relationship was with a woman of mixed heritage (south sea islands and Native American).

While we were dating, we had a moment of "we need fucking icecream for this" as we watched a movie. So we headed from her house to the nearest grocery store. When we pulled into the parking lot and got out, two good ol' boys sitting on their truck tailgate went apeshit, calling me a n****r-lover and such. My response was to tell my then-gf to go inside and call the cops, I'd handle this.

What happened was me berating them at a level they couldn't comprehend (because I know big words like "comprehend"), followed by a visit from the county sheriff, who ran everyone and surprise, surprise, both of the racist fuckheads had warrants.

Watching them get carted away was very cathartic.
