What are your worst college roommate horror stories? [NSFW]

When I started Uni, there was a severe housing shortage (3000 students out of the 12 000 new ones had no home inside the city and were crashing in mattress camps in gyms or commuting). I was in a long-term relationship at the time and applied for and got accepted into the uni in my boyfriend's town, but he unexpectedly got commitment issues and told me we couldn't live together. I was desperate to get into a flat and met this seriously dodgy guy. .

His ad was weird, all his interviewees were quitting in him and he wanted female roommates only. His flat was nice, but he had only one bedroom and otherwise no space to set up a seperate sleeping room. In short, he was looking for roommate girlfriend. I figured I'd only need to live with him for a few months until I found a proper roommate arrangement and set up my mattress on the floor of his room. During the Interview I told him quite clearly that I had a boyfriend.

The day I moved in, I fell asleep on the couch after having had a very exhausting moving day and woke up to him touching me inappropriately. I didn't know how to respond since I didn't want to risk being thrown on the street. I texted my boyfriend afterwards but he didn't take the issue seriously. After that nothing serious happened for a while until the roommate kissed me in my sleep and I woke to him crouching next to my mattress, watching me sleep. I rejected him numerous times but in his mind, I was just playing hard to get. After the first incident, I started trying to stay away from home as much as possible. Came home late at night when he was hopefully already sleeping and slept at my friends' places as often as possible.

When my roommate was gone for a longer time, I wanted to relish the time, but for some reason, he was paranoid about me stealing his things. He gave his friend the key to the flat and his friend would come in unannounced to 'check on me'.

He was peculiar in other ways too. His diet consisted of oatmeal with cacao, spaghetti with only cheese and meatballs for every day of the week. In his freetime (he rarely went to uni it seemed), he would browse facebook, watch reality TV and look for ways to save money in the smallest ways such as switching to a lower power smartphone charger to reduce the power bill.

In the meantime, I had already begun searching for other flat sharing, but when I was staying at a friends (as I often did), he sent me a message that he absolutely had to see me. It turned out it was an eviction letter issuing I move out the next day. I wasn't even sure if he could legitimately evict me as my rental contract was just a handwritten living agreement, but I didn't press the issue. The eviction note stated some reasons such as not being polite enough to my landlord and not being available for contact. While I was not exactly his friend, I treated him just like another student. In all honesty, there were times when he called me over seven times a day and I was too afraid of him to answer, but I was available to talk in person most days of the week.

While this was soul-crushing for me - I have no family in this country to fall back to - I didn't exactly wish to live there any longer. I informed my boyfriend who offered me some money but wouldn't let me crash at his place. Money wasn't the issue but the dire need of a place to sleep. In his stead, a trusted friend of mine took me in immediately. When I had to move my things out of his flat, the friend that had kept watch on me was visiting and they both observed me with a satisfied smile as I took my clothes out of the closet. It was one of my most humiliating experiences of my life.

I thought about pressing charges against him for sexual harrasment but decided not to since I didn't have any evidence. After that ordeal I never saw him again, but when I moved out, I forgot to take my bike with me. I was too afraid to contact him about it, but when he tried to sell it on a facebook group, I confronted him about it and picked it up with some friends. He acted as if he was a decent human being. Thinking about that past, I hate his guts but generally, especially when I think about him wanting to teach middle school kids, but generally he's too much of a worthless something for me to waste a single thought about him.

TL;Dr: I, the college newbie desperate for a flat, moved in with a creepy guy who made me sleep in the same room and sexually harassed me in my sleep. When I didn't turn into his girlfriend, he evicted me and my boyfriend didn't care.
