What branches of mathematics would aliens most likely share?

Obviously, this falls apart the more you think about it. But it is fun to try to think of:

This could be a society that is fundamentally averse to working in low signal-to-noise environments. Perhaps they obsessively pour resources into maximizing signal-to-noise in all aspects. Increasing signal with giant radio telescopes, going overboard with sensor arrays, huge antennas, powerful transmitters, and reducing noise by being control freaks who need every environment to be like a predictable lab environment.

Obsessively pouring resources into prediction, simulation, controlled environments, and over-powered sensor arrays could remove the technological pressure to develop error correcting algorithms/codes.

To them, humans would be a people whose "grasp exceeds their reach". They only do things when they are good and ready (from their perspective).
