Not me, but my dad tells me this story every so often because he still thinks about it. He's a logical-minded type of person, but this freaked him out so much at the time.

When my older brother was a baby (I wasn't born), my dad had to look after him alone one night for some reason or another, and he put the baby down in bed and went to the living room to pick up all the toys he left out. One of them was one of those electronic talking Elmo dolls. He gathers all the stuff up, turns the lights off, and puts the toys in the toy box in my brother's room.

He walks back to the dark living room to get to his room and he sees the Elmo, standing up, turned on, in the middle of the living room. He swears he had just put it away.

He tore the batteries out of that thing and disposed of it outside the first chance he got- he wasn't letting that thing stay in his house.
