What do you do to cope with feeling triggered?

Pace around in circles. Play music. Post copiously on Reddit and then uncheck the "Send Me Reply Notifications" box. Read posts here from people who clearly have it WAY harder than I do. Pace around some more. Turn the music down because I'm worried the neighbors are secretly annoyed about it. Turn it back up a little. Pick up a book. Read one sentence and think hard about it. Turn on the shower and sit on the toilet and pretend that it's rain. Feel bad about wasting water. Eat a cookie. Feel bad about that also, eat a carrot. Eat two carrots for good measure. Look in the empty fridge until I'm absolutely certain there's nothing else in there. Come back to my computer and mysteriously lose three hours of my life scrolling Reddit. Pace around some more...
