What is a "Family Tradition" of Your Spouse/Partner that You Noped Right Out of Immediately?

My girlfriend did not prepare me when I went home with her for Thanksgiving. After a fairly perfunctory meal (no seconds) the entire family piled onto the couch and commenced the annual 72-hour Hallmark Channel Christmas Movie Marathon. Every member of this family is a successful lawyer, doctor, or academic, and they honestly spent from Thursday night until Sunday morning binging Hallmark Christmas movies, only getting up during repeats and even then keeping the TV on and paying half attention.

We've been together for six year, married for one, and we married-ins have basically established our own separate holiday weekend in the basement. This year we commence the war over which group our daughter will spend the holiday with.
