What I Want in the Future of Fallout 4

As a part of Far Harbor:

  • More player-leveling enemies. For those who don’t know, there are a few enemies whose level will be set to equal the player’s level. Super Mutant Warlords, Mythic Deathclaws, and Charred Ghouls all have this ability. Ideally, each enemy group should have an enemy that does this. Also, an enemy that is set to the player’s level minus ten, for example, could be another way to keep the game difficult.
  • Higher leveled raiders. Currently, the highest level version of raiders, the Raider Veteran, is set to level 39. This definitely needs to be changed, considering some enemies have versions all the way up to level 60 and beyond.
  • Some better radiation weapons. Aside from weapons with the Irradiated modifier, the only radiation weapon is the Gamma Gun. However, no intelligent player would actually use the Gamma Gun as their main weapon because, without the electric upgrade, it is completely useless against ghouls and robots and rather ineffective against animals, bugs, Super Mutants, and enemies in Power Armor. Considering this DLC will expand upon the Children of Atom as a faction, some radiation weapons that also do a decent amount of energy or ballistic damage are appropriate.
  • Some enemies that just can not be killed in one shot. The game gets pretty easy if the player gets a Gauss Gun, especially if they then max out the relevant perks. Add in the Instigating modifier and no enemy will withstand even a single shot from stealth with VATS. Some enemies that this does not work on would be excellent. Ideally, requiring this enemy to take a certain amount of damage to several different spots would be best. *A couple of new settlements, preferably in interesting locations. Things like a plot of land inside an active town, under a cliff, or inside a decaying Vault could all provide interesting locations for construction.
  • Some new enemies who make combat interesting. Currently, all the enemies in game are just a matter of shooting it. Things like Sentry Bots and Mirelurks suggest aiming at specific spots, but nothing more. Some enemies that have deadly but easily avoidable attacks could make combat more engaging. The downside would be a great reduction in VATS’ usefulness against these enemies.
  • Better chem crafting options. Why can’t the player combine Mentats, Buffout, Psycho, and Jet into a single item when any two can be combined, except Jet and Mentats? Why can’t the player make Daddy-O or Daytripper, and combine them with other chems? Mix up Psycho with Med-X? Craft X-Cell with Chemist Rank 4? This is a whole part of the game that seems to be forgotten.
