What happened to educational channels like Discovery, History, Nat. Geo, Animal Planet, etc...

Science has been under attack by Conservatives for the last 10-20 years. Special interest in the energy sector and political greed have corrupted every institution in our society. Conservatives are against higher education and support the bible. All you need is the bible. They considered all colleges and media to be Liberal. I.E. "a liberal education" = Biology, Environment, Music, Art, Psychology, Writing etc, anything that makes you care about culture, animals, or the environment is a threat to conservative causes, like religion or polluting industries, or guns. There has been a war on the Liberal Media since the 1970's; they used to say or do say that Liberal Jews controlled the media. Well corporations have been buying up the studios, WB - Universal (comcast) - MGM (sony) in an attempt to own the media. Conservative producers have been doing all they can to slip their values into programing ever since and to destroy unions. There was a purposeful effort to control the news message in the U.S. and most news in the US is CONSERVATIVE ! You have to get your daily world news from different sources. CNN is conservative except for Fareed who is Liberal / Neutral, with a strong slant toward Israel Interests and war in general. Fox studio executives and producers made a concerted effort to buy vulnerable cable channels and turn them into cheap programming and to get science off the menu. Discovery channel is a prime example. There used to be whales on Discovery. Now rednecks... Don't believe me ? Google that shit.
