What happened to Toronto highschoolers Eve Ho, Kevin Lim, and Jackie Li. The three vanished in 2006 after the body of their friend was found.

Source According to this news article, it's quoted from a fellow student that not many other classmates knew the group or cared about the disappearance. And the school wasn't making it a big deal, even though I'm assuming 1 student of theirs is dead(Philip Sit) and 3 missing(The boyfriend dropped out though I think)... That's pretty strange, right? I've been trying to look for a memorial service/facebook thing, but no luck, other than reposts seen on twitter by the crime stoppers group. Based on experience - Asians tend to group with other Asians - So for another student to say that others aren't making a big deal on the disappearance and the lack of community involvement, I'm assuming there's not a large pool of Asian students attending this school perhaps or they're not taking the disappearances seriously? The cynical side of me is thinking that there's some racial tensions pointing to why they're not getting as much media attention. Then again, you don't hear of cases like these from Canada.

LE is withholding info. on COD, which I get. The video shows where the body was discovered. It gave me chills. The remains were hidden in a forested area and next to a long stretch of road. According to this site source a resident of 'rural property'(what does that even mean?)in that area discovered the remains. It appears there was a path leading up from the road and the remains were fairly close to it. Also, according to the source, Philip Sit told his parents he was going to hangout with 'friends.' I'm assuming his 'friends' were the last ones to see him alive, but kids lie sometimes so who knows. And 'friends' is a very loose term for obvious reasons. The rest of the recent unsolved homicide list, however, shows a lot of victims dying from gun shot wounds. Maybe, CoD was unique in this case which didn't involve gunshot wounds?

Slightly unrelated Sculpture of Eve.

Just making some observations, but the trio's disappearance is abrupt. The childhood friend tells his grandmother(whom he borrows money from) to leave the door unlock because he's going to get a drink at the local convenience store, leaves his cell and wallet behind, only to never return. The girl who usually is on her phone and was supposedly with the boyfriend before the disappearance(?) and had made plans with a friend via MSN(?) (I lost the source for this - will edit when found) The boyfriend was supposedly playing an online game and told a friend he'd 'brb', but doesn't return(Source: Previous reddit post). I'm also assuming they disappeared together rather than it being a coincidence they're all somehow related and decided to disappear on the same day.

A theory - The childhood friend's actions look more like he wanted to disappear. The others, not so much. Maybe, instead of running to the store - he went to the boyfriend's place since they lived in the Scarborough area. Knocked on the door - maybe around the time the 'brb' msg came into play. The girl was there as well. Something went down(maybe news of someone discovering the body) and after that its either they knew something bad enough to flee or a third party got involved forcing them to leave the boyfriend's place late at night. After almost 9 years though... I don't think there's a good ending to any of this.
