What do I do if meditation just doesn't work for me?

I find that meditation increases my anxiety because as soon as I'm done meditating I realize "Oh crap, there's a whole bunch of things I wasn't worrying about while meditating. Now I have to go worry about those things." It may temporarily get me out of a bad thought loop, but I just go right back into when I realize I was just sitting there focusing on my breathing the whole time while things were going on in the background. Since therapy, medication, AND meditation don't even help with my mental illness, I'm thinking there's no hope for me. Some of us just can't reach that place in our minds that we really need to reach in order to solve our issues.
