My inner self is pure rage.

Anger in itself is just raw energy. It is not negative or positive and all the characteristics we associate to it are learned. They are not inherent in anger itself.

How people act when they might feel angry is just learned behavior.

Psychological labeling has never brought peace of mind to anyone. The best lens to view anger through is no lens at all.

Dropping all stories, all descriptions surrounding the emotion and just being with it as it is.

Then there can be freedom from habitual reactions.

As long as there is the division of emotions into "good" and "bad" there will always be striving for "good" and moving away from "bad". No human being on the planet has ever achieved to only have "good" emotions.

So it is a fruitless pursuit.

I am not suggesting to put a new label on all emotions and call it "the intelligence of the universe". I mean to drop all understanding, all labels. Remaining in "not knowing".

Asking oneself what is "anger" if I don't call it anything?

And instead of coming to an answer allowing this question to silence the mind.
