What Makes This Game So Addicting?

I have over 170 hours in, and I was similar. I'd be sure to play each day, perhaps even time traveling to do more, and talk to everyone, do a few requests, find all the fossils, catch some new fish or insect, track down balloons, and then beetle hunt on the island for a couple of hours.

Actually, I kind of got so stressed out about it that I ended up stopping for awhile, which seems a bit silly?

I've recently started playing again, but I've been taking a much more casual approach. I've played most days this past week, but I'll just collect the fossils I find, move around some flowers for hybrids, and chat with my favorite villagers. I don't really stress about my house or building public works projects, at least for now.

I suppose I'm having more fun like this, but I think, more than anything, it shows me just how much variety there is to the game. I'm being very relaxed, because that's fun, but other people build these amazing towns with pattern paths, intricately positioned neighbors (with resetting), full museums, etc... And while I can't do that, it's awesome to see their work.

So I guess a lot of babbling to say, if you're having fun, then there's nothing wrong and no need for ACA ;)
