What opinion do you still hold onto even after the general consensus has changed?

It's weird to say because even now the opinion on them keeps flip-flopping but I never hated the prequels. It might be the biases of a zoomer where my first exposure to Star Wars was the Prequels, Gendi's Clone Wars and then Filoni's Clone Wars but I never understood why so many people had such a passionate hatred of them but give the sequels a pass when they make the same mistakes or do stuff that is exponentially worse. I think the Prequels are at their base are a good story with a bad execution. I'm much more willing to give a pass to bad acting and dated cgi then I am to letting Disney tearing down the legacy of the older characters to build up their new ones, destroying worldbuilding and reversing what was done in the old films so they can do it in a worse way, and then attacking consumers who dare to criticize their work or ask for better treatment of the IP if the company wants their money.
