What opinions do you have that would be VERY unpopular on this sub?

Did you know there's research on people holding women to higher ethical/social standards?

People are obsessed with commodifying/consuming women and this naturally dehumanizes them whether or not we like it. So, the second a woman acts in a transgressive way is a lot more noticeable. Hate and love two sides of the same coin, basically--a cycle of idealization then devaluation. I mean, this is why misogynists go on about the "women are wonderful effect"; they're leaving something out. It's the "women as products are wonderful effect and people get mad when women cease being one"...
...and, this is why NLOG happened. It's because girls are exposed to people being crazily obsessed with what girls do and are to the point where it ends with every hobby, action, behavior, etc, being more of a statement than it really should be and Hollywood is just a very condensed mirror of all these problems in society with a lot of us being wired to pick up on minor deviances.

It's probably one of the biggest reasons why women will fail to gain power in society--it's because people can't stop being weird about women in the public eye.
