Yea fair enough. Labor demand is extremely high in my area, just not in the industry I'm in (software development). I'm in an extremely high COL area, but there are few to limited IT/Eng Tech jobs here at the moment. Our median house price is somewhere around $995,000 and our rental vacancy rate is permanently 0%.

Unfortunately, employment is still relatively terrible around here due to most jobs being service industry type things, but it's definitely going to be worth it for me to start looking for a career in something else perhaps. I have a background as an Eng Tech, so that might be a better way forward if I can't make full time contract work pan out.
