The cup games are a poor example.

Anybody can have a good week or bad week individually. The trick is to have more good weeks than bad by putting yourself in that position each week to get those scores.

Have had 4 top 10k's and lowest rank is about 125k in close to 10 seasons. Luck certainly plays some part but not hugely over the course of a season.

A good one for you- I bet I would kick your ass even if you had your FH every week and I just played as normally. And you know why? We can't really predict individual gameweek scores but we can choose players who over the course of 5/6 weeks for example will do well. In fact I am pretty sure my regular team would beat my FH team each week over the season too for this reason.

Now wouldn't that be some luck?
