What’s a small act of kindness you were once shown, that you’ll never forget?

It was a really hot sunny day in the summer. I was walking across campus and suddenly it was just TOO bright, I couldn't keep my eyes open. I felt cold. I tried to stay calm and kept walking, only opening my eyes every 5 steps or so. I decided to try and get inside the student union building and sit down there. I made it just inside the entrance and next thing I knew I was on the ground.

This big dude, another student, stopped and helped me. Picked me up and sat me down against the wall. I remember the earnest concern on his face as he talked to me ( I can't remember what he was saying). An older staff member joined him then and brought me some orange juice. They stayed with me while I slowly recovered myself and made certain I was okay.

I remember feeling like I was a child again, and feeling total trust in these people. It was a situation that lasted only a few minutes, but the tenderness these other people showed me when I was vulnerable like that gave me some kind of trust in other people I didn't have before that.
