You know what I stupidly just realised?

t Pokémon game effectively directed at teen/tween to adults! I know that in every community or game or tourney the adults really swear the direction of things, but always do the devs have to keep the kids in mind with story and marketing. PoGo is going to be basically unplayable for anyone not Independent- i.e. children. They've openly stated that thier vision is to spurr people to travel to catch different Pokémon. Let alone the way evolving works and gyms. No way little Sally is gonna be able to go to the forest and battle and catch a few dozen Paras, or Billy go spelunking for Onyx. I really look forward to seeing what they do with in-game content knowing that game play and marketing is going to be 99% geared towards active young adults. Edit: Yes, I realize that kids have smart phones these days. And yes, I realize that kids can play outside. You are taking my optimistic enthusiasm and responding to it with downvotes and really rude sarcasm; and then also not looking at what I'm trying to communicate and contributing nothing

The pokemon spawns are not just generated for one user.

You could go spend some time with your kid and both play on your own devices. A eevee appears 150m away, "kid you walk 50m that way and I will go 50m this way. Tell me if you get closer."

The kid is still in sight and possibly sees an uncaught pokemon and let's you know. you can then both hunt that down and it allows for greater accuracy and speed for the hunt using triangulation. Teamwork for catching all 151 is going to be the fastest way.

Imagine 15 players doing an emu line across a park which we know will have a rare spawn for 10 min on a Friday night. You could either be running back and forth by yourself or get some help.
