Well, split that amount over two or three appearances of the legendary then. I usually go feast or famine with raids since I don't do GBL. When things are boring, I raid far less (15 paid Tapu Koko raids, 5-6 free with 3 shinies to show for it) and I'll probably do almost no Registeel unless it's my free pass but with Primal Groudon and Kyogre I'm going to go hard. In general, unless it is a futureproof kind of legendary, I just raid however many I feel like and then let it circle back around one or two more times and then I'll have my XL needed and probably in that time I've also got my 98 or hundo if I'm very lucky or a quality shiny that I want to make my L50. Did I ultimately still spend $60? Yep. But there's a difference between $60 in a week or two and $60 in 12-18+ months.
