What is this symbol called?

I don't remember them by their count number but it can be easily deduced by following this simple flow chart which goes like this:

4(semibreve) 2(minim) 1(crotchet) 1/2 (quaver) 1/4(semiquaver) 1/8(demisemiquaver) 1/16(hemidemisemiquaver)

as for half counts, we just add 'dotted' in front because well, that's how they're written in the sheet

1(crotchet) + 0.5 is "dotted crotchet" 2(minim)+1 is "dotted minim"

I still cant get over the fact Americans use the count number as the name of the notes. come to think of it, it actually makes plenty of sense, but im just surprised that there is even some other way of naming them having only been using the british way
