What to do when it’s not “just in your head”?

Yeah, i understand this in a way. Like, i know some ppl are able to get over things that happened to them and move on but what about those that can't? Especially when we're talking about something like self image. It's literally impossible to escape trends and products that focus on improving one's looks and tbh most of them are just fake crap to make us even more insecure they don't even actually work lol and, i mean, how am i supposed to distract myself and ignore things and focus my mind elsewhere? I know it's not impossible but it sure as hell it ain't easy. I guess the best thing we could do is be kinder to ourselves but i understand that it's hard. Sorry i'm not of much help but you're not alone.
