A Final Warning from George Orwell

Manipulation through pokemon go. You can literally create a stampede of people not by using fear, but by baiting people with imaginary things in the real world. All the while, a camera is in your face the whole time it's being used.

The addiction towards these tracking devices come in the form of comfort through convenience apps and services, eradicating the need for high cognitive functioning (i.e. when was the last time you used a physical map or had to balance a checkbook? Me neither). Our minds abilities will atrophy. I really believe that. I love technology, but it does no good for the human organism in an anthropological sense.

It reduces our need for psycho-chemical social interactions and cooperations. The sex drive is gone over time through readily available sexual novelty in the forms of increasingly realistic pornographic experiences, and our social skills have dilapidated through the necessity of social media.

It's a powerful drive of the economy, but we should really consider where technology is taking us as a species. It's not making us hyper intelligent like the crew on star trek. It's creating a society of non-curious, non-sexual, beings with too comfortable of lives. Beings who would be socially disarmed without the presence of a product that can access the web.

There is no resistance anywhere. People are weak, uninformed and society is conducted by shame, greed, and fear.

We are not evolved to handle this kind of power yet. We aren't evolved to find joy in it. We find joy in accomplishing things, exercising, making and serving food, having sex, meditating, prayer and being strong. What I mean is, there's higher depression rates in people who don't have to work for their reward response in the brain. There's higher depression rates in people/societies that are sedentary.
