What would it take to import a Ford F-350 crew cab pickup to Europe?

Hey I'm late to the thread but I saw it linked somewhere else and have found it very entertaining to read through. We don't all drive huge vehicles but they are much more common over here for a lot of reasons.

Wider roads - a truck like this won't even fit on a lot of European streets. We have standard street sizes in most places that accommodate large vehicles.

Cheaper everything - from the obvious price difference in gas, to cheaper cost of living and vehicle prices (and the possibly more common ignorance about debt and living within your means).. we can just afford them more readily.

Greater necessity - The need for an F350 sized truck is pretty rare, but it is probably a lot more common over here. A lot of our upper-middle class own a lot of land and have various things to haul around like horse trailers and farm equipment. It is much more common here than in Europe.. hell I don't think there's nearly enough available land in Europe for this sort of thing to be nearly as common. America is still mostly wide open. Also, with cheaper cost of living/goods, we move more and have more shit to haul in general. I drive a Mini Cooper and seriously wish I had gone for the Toyota Tacoma some times. It's nice to be able to pick up lumber when you need to build something without having to find a friend's vehicle to borrow. Or take junk to the junkyard. Or purchase an appliance or other large object. Or transport recreational vehicles like ATVs or boats. Or a hundred other things. Yeah I don't need it all the time and my Mini is great, but the "nobody needs a truck" attitude is a little ignorant in my opinion.

Status symbol - Here's the worst reason. Americans being wasteful is not just a stereotype, unfortunately. A lot of people simply want a huge truck despite the costs. I would argue that if Europe had similar costs/roads/availability, I guarantee more people would drive them over there. Different cultures have different status symbols. Slammed VWs may be cheaper/smaller but they are also not very practical for their own reasons and for most people the only reason to do that to a VW is for status/looks.

In summary, I agree with most people here. OP is a faggot. Taking an F350 to Europe to drive a family around and go to College is asinine at best. However, the general truck hate here is strong and unfounded. There are a lot of reasons to have a (small) truck for personal use, at least, in a large country that is heavily reliant on vehicle travel and places an emphasis on self-reliance. If Europeans had similar opportunities, costs, and land space, I have no doubt there would be a lot more trucks over there for both utility and opulence.
