What is your opinion on the Firedorn case?

Ok thank you very much for explaining that. I think I mostly got her thought process now and wrapped my head around the whole issue.

Like I said before I very much did not realized all the extra pressure surrounding a trans person.

Let me just write down the thought process I had going through this as you might be interested in the other side as well.

As someone with Arabic and German heritage my initial reaction( when making the post) was : " So what am I missing? People of all kind get joked about all the time. The joke isn't any worse then a lot of others in this game or others."

Simply put at that time it did look childish compared to a lot of other things. As I thought of it only in the context of that joke.

I think that is the point where a lot went out of hand. See I thought, like many others I assume, about only in the context of this joke and how this joke is so offensive to cause such a reaction.

She on the other hand clearly didn't and like you kindly explained got upset with the whole pressure around such jokes and how common it is.

Though I must admit that she didn't try to make that clear and that calling him or the joke Transmisogistic ( not sure on the spelling sorry) taking out frustration on this that was caused by other things.

I assume , because I got no clue, that the back in question did not intend the joke as an open attack against trans people but as a joke. As untactful as it might be the stamp of hate that she implied and the "movement" she also tried to make out if it are probably just as much out of proportion.

Not saying she is wrong. But she probably just as much missed how he thought of the joke as he missed how you or she would think about it.
