What's a big no no in your favorite hobby ?

I always think it is dumb when they say the highest rated comment one. Nobody cares. They'll sometimes give like an acceptance speech like they just won an oscar.

"Wow!! Over 100 points! This is so amazing guys, thank you so much for the upvotes. This means a lot to me so upvotes for everyone!!1!1 But seriously, I can't believe my highest comment is about poop. I don't understand this site sometimes! Lol!"

Or that stupid thing they almost always say upon getting gold. "You popped my gold cherry!" Okay, stop. 1) that is fucking gross, 2) just reply to the gold message, and thank them directly, 3) everyone thinks you sound annoying, and often times your thank you message turns into a shitty humble-brag.

I hate that most people all say the EXACT SAME THING. "Thank you for the gold, kind stranger!" Nice. Thanking someone for spending money on you, and you choose the absolute most generic, overused comment to do so, that isn't personalized in any way.

Also, "gold?! I have so many posts that deserved gold more than this post! Go figure, it's about butts."

"You popped my gold cherry!"

Whoever gave me gold, thank you! Upvotes for all!"

Basically when they say this, it's like "I am so happy! I am going to use the most cliché sentences to thank them, and make it as standout as possible by using italics, bold, or lots of exclamation points and all caps, so that everyone can see I got gold!" I haaate it so much. It's always the same exact fucking sentences. I mean, do they even think it through when they write that? I guess not, actually. Nothing says "thank you, I appreciate what you've done for me" like using bland, unpersonalized, public sentences.
