What's a company that's viewed pretty positively today but has a dark DARK history?

Krupp Holdings. The tenth trial for war crimes held at Nuremburg was for Krupp Group and it's 12 directors. Krupp Group was the main provider of armaments to the Nazi war machine and flourished during the war. Krupp used nearly 100,000 persons in the slave labor program that funded their profits; about 23,000 of the slaves which were prisoners of war.

One of the directors was acquitted. The eleven remaining defendants were found guilty were convicted on the forced labor charge, six convicted of economic spoilation. All eleven were sentence to prison. The prime villain, Alfried Krupp resumed control of the firm in 1953 because no buyer could be found for Krupp Holdings.
