!! No way. Something similar happened to me in the early 2000s. I was visiting a friend in central illinois, just me, miles of corn, and the fastest, most amazing car in the world ('96 accord coupe, i still miss her). It was around midnight and there's a faint light coming up behind me. As it got brighter, i thought it was someone with their brights on - but it was only one light. Do motorcycles have brights? I slow down, because i want it to catch up because now i need to know.

But it just kept getting brighter. I can now see every nook and cranny of the dash. I had to turn the rearview mirror all the way down, the dimmer setting was not enough. It was daylight in my car. I'm finally beginning to freak out a little and regretting having slowed down before. Just as I'm about to start hyperventilating (because the light was definitely catching up), it disappears. I proceed to freak the fuck out. I've never figured out what it was.
