What's in your cup? Daily discussion, questions and stories - June 20, 2021

I discovered this sub and realized I am drinking the worst quality chinese sencha, it goes for ~$1 per 100g in my country and can be found in one of those shops where they sell food items in bulks. And the difference is quite apparent, I tried some actual sencha at some coworkers house and now I can't go back to the usual Lol.

I visited some tea shops websites and the prices are as follows: In the first shop only sells chinese sencha (no japanese) for $4.80 (100g), and the second, more expensive one, the chinese sencha is $5.90 and the actual japanese sencha is $12.20 for 100g! Is this how these teas are priced in your area? How much are you willing to pay for tea?
