What's your job and salary

. I know I'm underpaid but am okay with that for a little while because I want an easy job and a break (I cleared 200 last year as a remote contractor on state / fed bids but I never want a repeat of that stress). Anyhow so glad to know what else is out there, sounds like you have a great thing going and I wish you luck at your new job!

Thank you. I'm from the NW burbs (grew up in Schaumburg). If you ever want to share ideas about resumes, companies, job hunting, proposals, etc. feel free to reach out to me. Its a small world and industry and we may already know each other (APMP Midwest?)

I got burnt out doing State and Federal bids last year too when i was making much much less ($98k job) so good for you getting paid for that stress!

My understanding at my new job though is that federal business flows through subcontractors and there will be no more federal proposals for me!!! (praise)

I also asked how their work/life balance is and they told me they can count the number of times on one hand they had to work past 40 hours in their 4 year tenure.

Also, i know Aon is recruiting right now because I just left that job and was making $115k there (since you mentioned you're also in insurance proposals). I also really liked the director/management there.
