Congratulations for being literally the first person to offer any kind of explanation or defense of the meme in the more than a year that I've been calling it a shitty meme. That is genuinely new information to me, because my knowledge of the artist and their work only extends as far as the meme. (I'm not the target market for the webcomic, I don't like the art anyway, I only looked it up to try and understand the meme as I saw it being posted.)

Please understand that my calling the meme shitty is not a defense of the artist at all. But that information doesn't change my stance - the meme makes a joke out of a deeply painful experience, one that is often gone through in complete silence. That is still not okay.
