I really don't know, I feel the same. the culture here has so many *taboos* if you say so. Since my break up months ago I felt so lonely, and realized I was very codependent In that RS. and got no life outside the RS except my job, and my local city friends. this is when I wanted to know other different people. shamefully enough after fighting that thought back and forth I downloaded a dating app just for friendly casual convos & hangouts, but I'm the shy guy who would feel humiliation to post a pic of me there. In a chances of ~1% that I get matchs I think I was lucky enough and just got to know 1 girl from the app whom we hungout together, and extremely had fun time for like 3 months then BOOM. we went down the spiral and we're no longer friends.
I know I babbled a lot but this is my humble experience for finding a friend which wasn't *very successful*, any how I still don't know how to make new friends. but if you want you can DM me or something.
