Rant: Some of the worst people I've ever met.

It's a false religious sense. Just to be clear, I'm not saying religion is wrong, just "the sense" in that situation. If that makes any sense... :P.

Some men will actually prefer a woman with a veil simply because where they grew up, their "social circle", that's what a respectable, husband abiding, house wife looks like.

Veil means nothing. I knew a girl, personally, that would take off the veil indoors, regardless of who was there, as long as they're "friendly". I also know A LOT of women that only decided to wear a veil (hijab) so they wouldn't be harassed by the young hormonal folks.

But, that doesn't mean that all veil wearing women are bad or that there aren't veil wearing women that made the choice in a spiritual innocent manner.

It's one of the things I hate about marriage, man. Being shallow and judgemental and criticizing everything as if they were shopping for a TV or a car. To be clear, I think this about both men and women.

Egyptians specifically only care about the things that almost NEVER ruin a marriage. The ratio of divorces/failed marriages because of car/apartment/hijab/hair/makeup compared to personality/being obnoxious/selfish/unreliable should make it obvious.

I might be against marriage, but I know intimacy. If someone is about to get married, things like this shouldn't matter. Not her job, not her parent's job, not how many doctors they have in the family, bust size, body shape.. all those things are literally for teenagers. At the end of the day, in the most horrible day you can imagine, you just want to go back home and hold a woman that you respect and love and trust her with your words, secrets and comfort.

Trust me, in that horrible day, you will not look for the hijab, the makeup or the mini skirt. You'll look for the woman you respect. Same goes for women.

It's such a simple aspect in life and everyone craves it, yet it's the most thing we ignore when looking for life partners. LIFE partners, not a music video dancer.
