It sounds ominous at face value but this is just an analysis. It's not "where we are headed". The issue here is this analysis doesn't take into consideration any countermeasures or possibilities that is being worked on by the government or its associated financial institutions.

Simply put, It's merely stating that Egypt will suffer losses unless it modifies its financial policies, which happens regularly. I take issue with this sort of post because it doesn't concern the average joe who isn't economy-savvy, and even when you understand what the numbers mean here it'd be practically meaningless overall. Also the whole COVID issue makes it even more situational.

The CBE continuously monitors the REER on the analysis here and includes it in its periodic monetary report every quarter a year. So, I believe it's already accounted for. Link here for whoever want to check it out.

I really wonder why the OP have to bring up such technical and esoteric analyses here lol. It'll serve more purpose on r/Economy that it'll ever will in this sub. Maybe you will get more insightful answers there.
