Which books feature characters who are too perfect?

Wait, but he inherited the invisibility cloak from James, he didn't just happen to have it, the Potters are like a big pureblood wizarding family aren't they? Descended from the Peverells or some shit I can't be bothered checking the wiki etc etc. It makes perfect sense that he would have it when it was passed down through his family, and I guess you could argue that it's Mary Sue-ish the way he just happened to be the Boy Wonder in everything, but I will still not accept that he's a perfect character. He was made an orphan at one or two years old, lived under the stairs in an abusive household for years before going off to Hogwarts, and then he still had to come back continuously because of the stupid protection spell, he repeatedly said he didn't want people to die for him and in the end it all went to shit because half the people he cared about ended up dying, like 50% of the time almost nobody would believe him - "ohhh Boy Who Lived tysm for saving us by defeating Lord Voldemort when you were a kid, but no you're totally wrong you're just a kid what on earth would you know about Lord Voldemort it's not like you defeated him there's no way he's back stop lying" - basically everything screwed up because Voldy took a prophecy too seriously and proceeded to try to ruin/end an innocent kid's life, and yes Harry had a lot of close calls, and yes Harry may have seemed unbelievably lucky or adept at times, but he is by no means a perfect character, his life was never perfect, things did not always go right for him. Please just lay off this poor kid who desperately needed a therapist because orphan/abuse/PTSD/so much death/let us not forget he walked calmly to his own death/godknowswhatelse
No I will not say don't insult precious little harry potter
But I will say cut him some slack
People are allowed to have their own opinions of course but they need to take into account the horrible, easily mentally scarring things he had to endure from a heart-breakingly young age
Remember how surprised he was when the Weasleys actually wanted him around and cared for him? I have so much sympathy for Harry... he didn't deserve all the stuff that happened... yeah he was angry and kind of a jerk but come on if you lived the life that he did I think you'd feel a wee bit pissed off too
That doesn't make it okay but it does make it understandable
Also I'm not accusing you specifically (darktask) of anything xD just needed to rant sorry
