Who knows this feeling?

People have differing levels of impulse-control.

If you have a naturally lower than normal ability to modulate impulses (or just have a poor mentality), adding caffeine or stress/frustration to the equation might result in venting through damaging stuff.

Also people with ADHD, or people on the autism spectrum, might have a "shorter fuse" in this regard because their brain is wired a little differently. Therapy can help to some degree, though (hence why I mentioned poor mentality).

I've been diagnosed with Aspergers, and I've damaged a couple mice over the years... but mostly because I forgot to let go of them before I slammed my fist into the table in frustration (I still do this, but I let go of my mouse now). The upside is my anger sometimes evaporates instantly when I do this, so I've not been too motivated to work on this habit.
