Who is the most legendary person that you have ever known?

"Joe" was an average guy. Average looking, average sized but for gigantic balls. In 1999 our city hosted the Miss USA pageant. Joe decided this was his weekend to let himself go.

He checked into a hotel under the name "August Busch, Jr." heir to the Busch beer fortune. Now, once word got out that an heir to one of the wealthiest families in the state, perhaps the country, got out, people bent over backward to accommodate. He "rented" limousines. I say "rented" because when you actually rent something, you pay for it and little Auggie didn't. He didn't pay for his limos, or his bar tabs, clothes, or dinners where he hosted a bevy of pageant contestants and guests. He lived like a king for a week pretending to be Auggie Busch, III defrauding vendors and innkeepers to the tune of thousands of dollars.

Evidently he used the Busch scam in lots of places. Like most con men he was eventually caught. I attended his sentencing and he showed zero remorse, smirking as the judge read off the list of businesses he scammed - and it was a loooong and expensive list.
