But, to address the point you are making that LL Bean products "now last a year": LL Bean made the return policy change in 2018 and I have boots, shoes, and shirts that I have purchased after that date that are I am still using.

Also, you claim that you have slippers where the arches have collapsed with "nearly a year of wear". First, I don't see how slippers (of which I own two pairs) could have an arch "collapse." Second, LL Bean accepts returns when you purchase from them for a year. Why haven't you returned them if you have only had them less than a year? Third, if there really is a manufacturing defect, LL Bean will inspect goods and repair or replace them.
