Will you be taking the free upgrade to Windows 10 this Wednesday? Why or why not?

I installed windows 10 to try it out, I never had windows 7 or 8 so it was a clean install. At first I was loving it, and even thinking about getting back into (and even possibly buying it) as I liked using portable apps and I miss foobar2000 and rainmeter.

But then the problems started, one of my drives would not be recognized properly for some reason, thinking it might have something wrong I wiped it and ran a bunch of tools on it (even spinrite) but yet nothing. The Disk Manager keeps saying it cannot be initialized or that it is "read-only" for some reason. Regardless of the filesystem. Can't find any help on google. It works fine on linux.

And recently I cannot upgrade to build 10240, I'm stuck on 10168. After downloading the update countless times (Don't ask me why it has to redownload it every time) It keeps failing with an error code that tells me nothing useful when googled. So I was desperately searching it and found that the problem could be that I had no verified secondary email/phone number recovery method for my account, which I really didn't want to enter, so I entered my secondary email, forever linking the 2 accounts together somewhere in microsofts servers. But nope no go. I have to wait 30 days for it to go through to even try. Even if I cancel it there will probably be some record of that email now tied to my microsoft account. I know it's a security measure, but I'm really angry at microsoft right now.

I cannot justify buying windows 10 when that drive of mine probably isn't going to work, and with all the other, im sorry but Bullshit I get from microsoft and windows. I've used it maybe 4 hours in the past 4 months and yet I'm angry with it.
