Winner winner communist dinner

When did I say that any of those counties you mentioned are great? First off, out of the 5 countries you mentioned, 4 of them have a one-party system or a dictatorship. Their lack of democracy and government oversight is more detrimental to those countries than their economic system. On top of that, we have a Capitalist global economy that sanctions, isolates and wages war against any opposing system, so those countries were set up to fail.

I am not a proponent of communism, I am anti-capitalist though and think it is the more evil of the two. An ideal communist society would provide for everyone, where an ideal capitalist society would always have winners and losers. And as more and more jobs are being lost to automation, more people will be unable to get by in a capitalist society where you have to work to earn money to buy necessities. I support a mixed-economy where we nationalize public needs like energy, healthcare, education, transportation, telecommunications, water and waste management and with other socialist elements like public housing and a basic income, and the rest of the economy is left to the free market. A system like this has never been tried, although a few countries are going in that direction with government run healthcare and education, but I cannot provide you with an example of a success or failure of a system that has never been tried. The point of my original comment is that people in this thread bashing communism are blind to the failures of capitalism.
