I wish Auras worked this way

There's a few but the rules don't currently support placing a card directly on the stack without casting or copying it like the card in the OP does.

I agree that the card itself is unintuitive and I don't think its effect should ever be printed.

I'm more saying that I wish cheating Auras onto the battlefield would work like you'd naively expect, and that the effect in the OP would be codified into the rules somehow. But it's easier to design a custom card than to rewrite the rules, so I'm using the card in the OP to express what I'm talking about.

The corresponding rules change would probably be pretty complicated, but it's sometimes the case that more convoluted rules make the game itself work in a more intuitive way.

Does that make sense? Sorry if this post is confusing.
