[Wojnarowski] ESPN Sources with @RamonaShelburne: NBA general managers are working to finalize formation of a professional association that would collectively support executives with access to legal defense funds, lawyer referrals and PR professionals:

Agreed, it isn't a union. This response was to someone confused why people would have this reaction. There seems to be 2 perspectives.

1 group hears about accusations of misconduct from the management and wonder what is being done to the injured parties (at-will employees)

2nd group hears about accusations of misconduct and wonders how to protect management from false accusations.

I think most people would agree neither response is morally wrong. However, my first thought when hearing that the collective management response to pervasive management misconduct accusations is to create an organization designed to protect themselves from accusations, as opposed to action to protect the (much-less protected and compensated) at-will employees is that it is self-serving and gross.

Sure, management deserves to be protected from false accusations. Is that really what the first priority should be in this situation?
