I wonder what the next narrative they come up with will be

I think the jury is still out on him as a passer. I see him as an above average passer and the best running QB to ever play, which makes him a very elite QB with that skill set. But as a pure passer, I think he still has some work to do to prove the doubters wrong. He definitely has the tools to be one of the better passers in the league, but he seems to be really streaky.

He looked awful in the first quarter against the Chiefs, then was nearly flawless. He had some really inaccurate passes in the Raiders game too. I don't really care about volume passing stats given how our offense focuses on the run, but he really needs to get his completion percentage up into the low 70's. I feel like the only time our offense gets stopped is due to penalties, sacks, or Lamar errant throws.

But the next thing will be "Can he win a SB?". Once that happens, people will shut up about him I think.
